i have recently been trying to use some nonsteam mods but the ones im trying dont work iv tried warsword conquest, clash of kings, fantasy calradia, SOD warlords and full invasion but they all have the same. It is, however, in my experience, very stable and an extremely good mod with a very unique set of game mechanics that gives you the experience of being one of the Lords of a faction embroiled in the War of the Ring.

There are three downloads - The main mod, the conversion patch for Warband and then the "Nightly Patch" file, which fixes quite a few bugs and balance issues with the mod and has yet to be incorporated in the final release. "The Last Days of Middle Earth" is, by far, one of the best "fantasy" mods, based on The War of the Ring in Tolkien's "Middle Earth." It was originally written for "Mount and Blade" and then ported to the "Warband" expansion. The game distinguishes itself by its realistic action and. Giant-spider riding goblins, skeleton lords riding giant skeleton snakes, huge trolls, dwarves with shotguns. Mount&Blade: Warband is an open-world RPG where players fight for control of the land of Calradia. (Basically, just like Warband with a new map, new factions, some new units and some interesting firearms mechanics and special unit attacks.Some of the units and heroes are very interesting, though. It's in beta and the last version I played had just about all the units in it, but few custom quests or mechanics. It is heavy on the fantasy elements, though, with a huge supply of fantasy units. Warsword: Conquest is a good, relatively stable, mod set in the Warhammer universe.
But, it was worth playing around with, just to see how the spell effects and new RPG elements were worked into the gameplay. The version I played left much to be desired in terms of polish. Phantasy Calradia is an interesting mod, but I haven't played it in a very long time. (Actually, none that I know of, even if it is derived from what is a "fantasy" book/television series, it doesn't make much use of any true fantasy elements.) ACoK isn't, exactly, "fantasy", as there are few fantasy elements in it. Phantasy Calradia, Perisno, Clash of Kings, or something else? I think Perisno is the bigger mod and the unique quests really adds to it, but like I said, you're probably not going to be able to complete a campaign before a new major patch comes out and I don't know if that's something you mind or not. Phantasy Calradia has magic and uses the Native map but has more factions and units compared to Native but less than Perisno (es closer to Perisno than Native though) and while mages are powerful, so are the elite troops of at least most factions. Phantasy Calradia is at version 0.723 and is also getting worked on but I don't think they're likely to add as much in the future as I suspect Perisno will.
It does however have a larger map with many more factions and many more units than Native as well as some unique quests. It also doesn't have any magic, AFAIK, if that's what you're looking for. It's still being worked on alot from what I read though and you're unlikely to complete a long campaign before a major patch comes out. Well, Perisno is technically a beta (0.74) but very stable from what I've seen.
